Wedding Choreography
We understand that choreographing and teaching dances for a wedding is a lot different than training students in a classroom or studio. Event choreography requires the instructor to understand a variety of learning styles and paces in a short amount of time and create something that will look good on everyone, regardless of their experience level. As a trainer and choreographer, that’s exactly what we aim to do. Whether it’s a group dance, first dance, slow jam or upbeat number, we tailor our choreography to our clients’ preferences and learning styles to help them create magical moments for themselves as well as their audience.

"We had a three day Indian-Western fusion wedding and by all accounts one of the major highlight was the choreographed dances by Devika! Our couples dance was my absolute favorite thing about the wedding. It was so fun to prepare during our sessions with her. She broke down the dances into easy learnable bites and even provided us with videos so that we could practice! She was so friendly and encouraging. And it came out great, our family and friends were standing and whooping by the end of it! She also choreographed dances for our 8 bridesmaids and our 8 groomsmen that live in various cities around the country! They all easily learned the dances at home through her great instructional videos. Last, my family including older aunts/uncles who are typically shy, went wild during the Bride's Family choreographed dance. "Devika Dhawan choreographed two dances for our wedding. She did an outstanding job. We gave her some details about our wedding and she gave us a list of songs to pick from, and then she choreographed the dances based on those songs. First, she was very flexible, and came directly to our place to teach us the moves we needed to know. She quickly re-scheduled with us when we could not meet when other wedding events sprung up. Second, she was really patient with us when it took us awhile to learn the dances. Third, practicing the dances with her was really fun! She has a great personality and sense of humor. In regard to the dances themselves, our guests absolutely loved the performance that we put on, and it really helped cap a special day for us. I mean it when I say the dance was one of my favorite parts of the wedding. We had so much fun with it that we decided to work with Devika again for my wife's friend's wedding, and we're currently practicing with her again now! We're having a great time with it.
